“Normal” Quiet Time, Sit for 5 minutes and listen for God’s voice. Make tasty breakfast.

Morning Reflection (Optional)

~ Breathe in and out

~ Sit in silence for as long as you need.

~ Notice how your body is feeling. You might want to honor your body with a noticing from head to toe. Where might you be feeling pain, tension, or tightness.

~  Take some deep breaths. Honor with kindness those places.

~How are you feeling today? Are you tired, hurried, distracted, frustrated, joyful, sad, open, closed, curious, expectant?

~ Can you name how you are coming today?

Journal about how you are coming and then write out a prayer.

~ Can you name what you need?

Guiding Questions for Engaging Scripture

Read a passage out loud or to yourself four times:

1) The first time you read the passage ask: is there a word or phrase that stands out

to me?

2) The second time you read the passage, put yourself in the passage. What senses of yours are engaged and how? Where do you find yourself in the

passage?

3) The third time you read the passage, is there an invitation for you in these words? Is there place that God is calling you to? Can you name it?

4) The fourth time you read the passage, rest and digest the words.

Bring other reading, podcasts, or worship playlist to listen to.

Katie- I sneak into the Salamander Resort in Middleburg and act like I belong. Perfect in the winter! I sit, read, and look out the window and just ponder all day. The town of Middleburg is also perfect for walking around!
