Young Life Capital Region

The division is offering us a grant to help our areas onboard new leaders. You can use this grant money to scholarship a potential leader to a leader retreat, committee/leader weekend, weekend camp or summer camp. This can also be used for any event where there is a cost for leaders to attend.

Guidelines for requests:

• Must be for new leaders- no one already serving in your area.
• Leaders must be someone who is not in college. The caveat is if they are currently in a college where we don’t currently recruit leaders (I.E. Patrick Henry College in Purcellville).
• Scholarship amount request can be from $100- $200 per prospective volunteer.

Potential applicants:

• An additional new leader you brought to fall weekend in October for an extra cabin (hasn’t served with your area before).
• A leader you plan on bringing on your fall weekend in Dec who is not already serving as a leader.
• A potential leader you are bringing to committee leader weekend in January. This is a big one- use this as a full ride scholarship for any and every new leader!
• A new leader you are bringing on your work crew weekend to help serve.
• A new leader attending a local ministry event where there is a cost.
