What is Changing?

• A New Home: The platform is moving to my.younglife.org. (Don’t worry, your existing custom links and the old URL will automatically redirect.)
• Lightning-Fast Checkout: Donors can now give in seconds using modern methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Cards, and ACH.
• Local-First Discovery: A new “Ministry Explorer” map uses geolocation to automatically surface local Young Life staff and ministries to nearby donors.
• Staff-Controlled Profiles: You now control your mission unit’s photos and visibility directly through YL Connect.
• What stays the same? Your existing recurring gifts, donor logins, and secure data practices.

Timeline & Deadlines

• March 23 – April 10, 2026: Staff Action Window. You can explore the new site and update your settings. (Note: Do not share the new site with donors yet!)
• April 10, 2026: Recommended deadline to update your profile in YL Connect.
• April 2026: Official public release to all donors.

What You Need To Do Next

Action is optional but highly recommended. Your profile will function perfectly fine without any updates, but adding your own photo and updating your location creates a much better experience for your donors!

1. Watch the Demo: Check out the Frontend Flyover Demo to see the new site in action.
2. Log in to YL Connect: Review your area’s photo, location, and visibility settings. Reference How-To Guide.
3. Upload a Photo: Add a compliant, 3:2 landscape photo of your ministry or a staff headshot. Reference Best Practices. (No photo? No problem! The system will automatically provide a clean, default Young Life placeholder graphic.)
